The September 2025 Gen-Z revolution in Nepal was a watershed in the political history of the country.  In contrast to previous uprisings, it was decentralized and led by students and young people who wanted change.  Mass demonstrations, horrific violence that claimed over 70 lives, and the devastation of important democratic institutions occurred in Nepal over the course of 48 hours.  However, because choices were made collaboratively on online forums like Discord, the lack of a single leader ended up being a strength.  An interim technocratic government resulted from the uprising, which restored hope despite significant economic losses.
