On October 25, 2025, the Korea Multicultural Festival 2025 took place at Baekbeom Square in Namsan, Seoul, organized by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation and Yonhap News Agency. The event was supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, celebrating the theme, “We Walk Together and Encounter Diverse Cultures.”
The ceremony featured a commemorative photo opportunity with Hwang Dae-il, CEO and President of Yonhap News Agency, who is seen posing with distinguished guests. Among them were Choi Seong-ji, Director of the Youth and Family Policy Office at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Jang Gwang-ig, Secretary-General of the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, Won Min-kyung, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, Lee Jong-hui, Chairman of the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation, Lee In-sun, Chairman of the National Assembly Gender Equality and Family Committee, and Kim Jae-hong, Executive Director of Yonhap.
This festival aimed to foster cultural understanding and promote the values of diversity and unity. The event brought together individuals from various backgrounds to celebrate the rich multicultural fabric of Korea, highlighting the country’s commitment to inclusivity.
